You guys are lucky we can understand drunk-speak. Weve had a lot of experience trying to decipher our sloppy editors at the post-work happy hour, and it finally paid off! Todays happy hour spot was playing some pretty awesome shows, and the local barfly was luckily well-versed in random facts about every show that came on. 

We hit record on our little voice recorder and just let him have it. Translating it to something that you fine folks can read and comprehend was no easy task, but here they are.

The Flintstones

Angel Grove, California POWER RANGERS Bar CRACKED COM The Power Rangers' hometown is thought to be based on Los Angeles, which is convenient because that's where the series was filmed.

Parks and Recreation

They created April Ludgate after a casting director met Aubrey Plaza. The director called Parks & Rec writer Michael Schur and told him I just met the weirdest girl I've ever met in my life. Seinfeld George Costanza is Larry David. Jason Alexander based his performance on Woody Allen, until he realized George was a self-insert for the show's co-creator. When Alexander questioned a scene, David retorted: This happened to me, this is exactly what I did. CRACKED.COM

Dwayne Johnson directly inspired a character in Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's The Boulder (well, of course), and they even tried to get The Rock to voice the character-but that didn't work out, unfortunately. CRACKED.COM

A 1960s Japanese animated movie inspired the show Samurai Jack. SAMURAI JACK It's called The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon, and Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky said it had what he wanted for that show: A lot of lighting and mood...very little dialogue,  about the action, simple stories, and the character. Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad took many, many style cues straight from The Godfather. In particular, Breaking Bad's use of color filters and different lighting schemes for different scenes, to give each one its own look and feel, is based on The Godfather. CRACKED.COM

Mad Men

Mad Men was partly inspired by a particular old-school French movie. The movie is Les Bonnes Femmes, and it was shot in Paris, in the era in which Mad Men takes place-and it influenced the show's production design. CRACKED .COM

Mr. Robot

The first season finale of the show Mr Robot was inspired by Fight Club. Fight Club was one of my big inspirations for the show, said creator Sam Esmail, and The Pixies' Where Is My Mind in S1E9 was a nod to that. CRACKED.COM
