50 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of May 30, 2024

After years of dominating the Simpsons-related tourism industry, Universal Studios’ Springfield, USA attraction has finally met its match: a random house in Everett, Washington.
Homeowners Ryan McMeans and Caitlin Swanson first recreated the a newfound tourist attraction for fans of the long-running animated series. “We spend countless hours every week trying to maintain and improve the property,” McMeans explained earlier this week, “and yet, all anyone cares about is Homer.”
While Simpsons fans have committed to the bit, viewers of The Rehearsal aren’t totally convinced by Nathan Fielder’s big flight. Shortly after the finale aired on Sunday night, fans speculated whether “Miracle Over the Mojave” was actually that miraculous. In a now-viral post, one Redditor unearthed records purporting that there might have been three separate flights completed over the course of two days. Some speculated that this may have been to garner more footage to fill out the episode, but others believed it proved Fielder may not have actually piloted a plane full of actors after all.
This much is true, though: The timeline never stopped being funny this week — or faked its most hilarious tweets. The funniest included those about the Spanish-American war, Mike White’s unconventional Survivor tactics and the strange link between Mel Gibson and Bigfoot.
